Dana is a designer currently based in Charlotte North Carolina. She was born in Queens, New York, raised in Long Island, and gravitated back to Brooklyn where she attended Pratt Institute. She studied illustration, graphic design, printmaking and photography acquiring her Bachelor’s Degree in Commercial Design in 2006. 

 

Her work is a combination of hand drawn and digital illustration, photography and pattern making. She began collaging in mixed mediums for years, experimenting with patterns and printmaking before transitioning into digital design.  She is highly influenced by folk art, patterns in nature, comics, printmaking, fairy tales, abstraction and space. Dana’s experience in multiple industries has given her an exciting body of work.  She is a tireless designer with a strong work ethic. Her eye for design produces beautiful and sophisticated patterns and art that will catch anyone's eye. 

 

Dana spent time traversing the fashion industry at Polo Ralph Lauren as a computer artist in New York City in 2013.  It was there she began to realize how much she loved pattern making. After relocating to Charlotte in 2015, she was the graphic designer turned art director for two weekly alternative newspapers Creative Loafing Charlotte and Queen City Nerve till 2019. Publishing allowed her to transition her work into more digital based avenues especially her illustration.
